VAR

Should only be given if it’s either deliberate, or the arm is in an obviously unnatural position.
(Definitely not giving the one against Fulham)
I hate that unnatural position rubbish, arms behind your back is the most unnatural position for your arms, your arms go into different positions naturally depending on what you are doing, arms behind the back means you aren't protecting your body from a projectile coming towards you. If they are going to keep on using VAR then they need to change rules regarding handball based on reaction time. For example a radius around a player of say 5 meters is drawn and if the ball is kicked towards them from within that radius it's not hand ball if it's outside it is hand ball, regardless of position of the hands, at least its a concreate rule then and not left to someone's opinion.

Silva should go all out in his interview. As should all managers shafted by the VAR officials. The Premier League rely on fear (of sanction) to keep the system looking good. If everyone simply said how it was, every time there’s a disgraceful call - and there are loads - they can’t just fine everyone. Weight of numbers is key.
Walk offs, damage the brand/schedule and litigation against pgmol and the refs fixes it.

But, too many Brighton and Bournemouth's in the league with owners just happy to be there.

That’s what it should be, but loads given exactly like the one given against Fulham. Where on earth are his arms meant to be when you block a shot/cross?

….i have no issue with that being against Fulham. Clear penalty for me as long as they are given consistently. The Tarkowski one was the odd one given his arm was glued to his side.

Howard Webb has been chief refereeing officer of the PGMOL for over 3 years. The officiating was bad before he started, it’s got progressively worse during his tenure. He should hang his head in shame at just how bad his organisation and his employees are at doing their jobs. Utterly shambolic stuff on a near weekly basis now.
He was an absolutely terrible referee himself. If you ever listen to him talking about football it’s clear he has no understanding of the game whatsoever.

He’s drying his eyes with 100 pound notes!

That's exactly what's needed to sort out VAR, hire a bunch of people who have no interest or understanding of football, hand them a rule book tell them to learn it and then start work at VAR and apply the rules as per the book without overanalyzing things of being in favor of certain teams.
