2025/26 Youssef Chermiti

Hes utter pony tho, so getting 4m for him would be a proper result.
Has been in pro youth regimes since 9 years old, was getting games at Sporting, someone saw enough to sign him at 19 two years ago.

It's a bad omen when we recover more of the maupay money than we do a prospects signing fee.

An awful chapter in forwards signed by us, that said, we got very little out of Lookman and Kean and they've gone on to be indistinguishable from the players they were here.

Still think he’s got the potential to flourish, injuries have prevented a lot of his progress.

Obviously very much in the minority with this opinion though!

He is for sure miles ahead of where Barry was at the same age.

I'd argue that he at the end of 23/24 and pre-season last summer showed more than Barry has in an Everton shirt. He was MUCH better than Beto before his injuries.

He doesn't fit the idea of what a number 9 should be for Everton under Dyche and Moyes, but that doesn't make him a bad signing. He wasn't signed for playing the football we've seen the last couple of seasons.

How on earth did you get this opinion of him? You're making him sound really good

Totally agree, I hope this loan helps kick start things for him and help catch up on a little of the time he’s lost.

Fingers crossed he takes this opportunity with both hands, and has a relatively injury free spell.

He's not, but he is still very young. Two years younger than a "young and raw" Barry. And he has just lost 12 months of development due to injuries.

His potential is higher than Barry's, but potential isn't enough. He needs a move. He needed a move last summer.

What did we pay for him?
15m I think. Maybe some of that will be add ons and stuff but really it was a time when we needed a striker and this move was a complete waste of money. Especially since the lad hasn’t had a chance however we don’t watch him everyday in training. Maybe he is actually just quite bad.
