Just been chatting to a loathsome. cockney Iron , who I happen to have accidentally befriended many years ago ( me mam always said I ‘ ran with a bad lot ‘

Anyway , he likes Soucek and wouldn’t mind keeping him around.
His opinion is , he is excellent defending , works hard , gets his body in the way loads , good tackler , never gives up , always ready to take one for the team. Excellent in the air , and has a great ability to be in the right place to get goals.
On the negative aspects , his passing is apalling , would struggle to pass water , ‘ his missus must spend ages cleaning the bog floor ‘, can’t control a ball to save his life , has the first touch of a serial killer. Frequently causes attacks to break down because he gives it away cheaply or just can’t decide what to do . Mostly he just hoofs it high to nowhere in particular ( but this is preferable to him passing to the opposition or just dithering too long on the ball .
He is not as good as he was 2years ago .
Anyway , that’s one matchgoing supporters assessment of him .

There’s experience and there’s throwing money away. Don’t think he’d start but at that price you’d feel he has to. Surely there are better options or someone we could loan instead if it’s just for cover.
