I dont rate James Garner at all but i would take him over Soucek

Football teams need more than 11 players these days mate, its common through the league.

Managers also at times tend to want players they like to work with, that they can trust.

Or maybe its just a made up link, and it makes no difference.

I think KDH will take garners place personally.

I can’t see soucek being a real thing, and I doubt Moyes even wants him.

It’s nice talking about actually where players would fit because we now already have options.

I dont think KDH has the same skillset or similar to Garner. Lets see.

Managers often bring in a favourite from a former team - ostensibly because they trust them, more often than not to give them a guy inside the dressing room as well.

Martinez brought in Kone and Alcarez.

Moyes at United brought in Fellaini as his big summer signing - a side that had been used to Cantona, Keane and Carrick.

Soucek gives him that big physical lump Moyes loves - and using him will be his default over better players or looking to get a better player.

It often worked for us though.....using the big lump.

Luckily now its not our main plan....and we have signed excellent attacking footballers.

So maybe now its actually clever to have that as a back up option now and again.

Especially since defending has never been worse.....and corners and set play goals wion games.

My only issue with this signing, would be the cost. Hope its not too much.

Surely whether his skill set is better or worse depends on the role they’re playing, I think id trust Garner more as a deeper, more defensive player and KDH more so going forward
