2025/26 Adam Aznou

Myko is not for me honestly. I like him, good character and hard worker.

Need my left back to be able to overlap and contribute going forwards though and he can't.

I'm young, most of my life i had Baines, followed by Digne.
I'm old(er)... But loved that. don't get me wrong.
Horses for courses.
Reckon we'll see two teams this season. Home and away and top teams and rest. Home (lesser opponents) is for aznou, hopefully (10 games). Rest is myko.
Myko has got better going forward. At the back remains a rock.
We're in transition. This is part of it.

This feller isn't injured. He's been frozen out by Moyes to teach the 'exceptional operators' a lesson that you dont buy players without his say so.

Going under the radar a bit now as injuries have spoiled his first month at the club, but with no new rb joining Aznou has an opportunity to be a really important player for us if he can force his way into the team.

(Very) unpopular opinion i know but for me it was more important to sort out lb this summer. Jake needs to be playing every week and as Moyes has pointed out playing on the right is a good way for him to learn his trade at this level. Besides that, while he doesn't look massively comfortable on the ball he's fast, can actually put in a decent cross when he has time to set himself, and is an aerial threat from set pieces. Myko is a good 1v1 defender but does none of that for me.

The system we're playing that turns to a back 3 in possession suits this as well. Jake can stay a bit deeper and not have to hit the byline where he's uncomfortable, while Aznou can push a lot higher and hopefully contribute more to attacks than Myko.

100% agree.
LB far more important than RB to sort, hopefully Aznou comes good.
