Agreed. Seemed calmed and measured. Just the first time this window he has used his classic line, so probably being realistic and not wanting to raise expectations. He did later say that we are still low on numbers, so he's clearly not given up on pushing for more.

How can a right back be so challenging when Thelwell had Wesley lined up in January.

Playing well at right back and playing well at centre back are completely different. Jake has barely played for us at centre back and when he has done he hasn't looked that convincing to me. You are just making a massive assumption. Myko is a better player than Keane but I don't think he would be a better centre back than Keane. Playing centre back is a specialist position.

I'm not I've watch Jake play a couple games at the end of the season at center back and he was far better than Keane , Keane has been decent this season but let's not partake in revisionism , he has been a liability in the past
