Yeah Rangers got knocked back on a loan offer for this lad, hence why they are after Chermiti.
Villarreal apparently wanted a sale, wouldn't shock me if he was a cheap pickup as Thelwell would have obviously thrown his name out there last January I'm guessing. So he's be known to the club.

Just gut instinct I think that the lad at Villarreal might arrive - contact between the clubs earlier was good over Barry - rangers trying for him and us sending Chermiti there instead. Fits the role of a development striker I guess.
