2025/26 Michael Keane

None of us want Everton to lose and everyone on here wants every Everton player to perform at their best. Posts like this are tedious horse manure made to stir up the forum for no reason at all.
Nah we all want Everton to win but I think it's fair to say that certain players are targeted far more than others and some fans seem to take delight in criticising them to the point where you have to assume they actually want them to do something that allows them to do it. I mentioned the other day that other players making errors often gets laid at Keane's door now, because there's not been enough to criticise him for individually so you have to somehow create an issue that he can indirectly be blamed for.

Keanes general performances for us have always been brilliant imo. He just had a mistake a game in him and unfortunately for him, the guy is cursed. Every mistake usually leads to a goal

He’s been brilliant but all his mistakes lead to goals?

I think he’s bang average but is doing ok at the minute, he needs to be replaced as soon as Branthwaite is back fit. If he plays for much longer he will make some of those mistakes you mention, which will no doubt cost us points.

Can’t fault his attitude, he’s just a very limited footballer.

His general performances have not always been brilliant. He's quite often a liability who makes those around him worse. He is turned easily and not overly good at defending when a player attacks him one on one. His reading of the game is below average too. He's alright at dealing with high balls I guess.

He had a brief purple patch under ancelotti and has been better under Moyes. He generally looks a better player when next to branthwaite too. But that's the case with tarkowski too.

Oh well, that's not me. Sounds like pretty weird behaviour. I couldn't be happier seeing Keane play well despite not wanting him here.

Keane is solid, but he's not a leader and probably never was. I don't think it's a surprise that he looks steadier in a defensive line that boasts Tarky

Been fine this season so far, as expected of a 4th choice CB. Couple of mistakes yesterday (one I specifically remember when he lost the ball just in their half and they broke but garner got back).

2 clean sheets in 3 games after all the hysteria that he may have to play a few games.

Not his biggest fan but could see the reasoning for keeping him and he has been solid enough. He knows, as we all do, that upon signing a RB or Branthwaite returning that he is out of the team.
