2025/26 James Garner

Another huge performance from him. My only concern is his consistency. When he was injured in the past we really struggled, and when he came back in he looked like MOM. Then after a few too many matches in a row he seemed to struggle, so maybe he just needs some rotational help.

I think he and KDH rotate. I also think he continues to cover full back if we can’t get an RB in and OBrien is hurt or needed centrally. Or Myko and Aznou can’t stay fit.

Plenty of us have said he’s got the skill set for full back. He’s just missing pace against speedy wingers, but you can shift tactics for that.

Moyes would never try it and it would have to be against the right opponent, but he’d make a fun wide midfielder in a 3-4-3.

….in top form at the start of the season, although I always think we play with more tempo when he’s in midfield.

Good footballer, little bit of Kevin Richardson about him but he was an underrated talent.

I wouldn't really say it was a huge performance. He had a good game at home against league one opposition who surrendered the midfield in the main, i'm not sure it was a performance that tells us anything we didn't already know about him. He's clearly a good footballer and at home at the top level, the only question about him has always been whether he's got enough to kick on and be more than that, it's when he does that that it'll be a huge performance.

Many people underestimate his contribution to this team. The unsung hero, the counter attack pacifier, the workhorse that hold the system together and provide balance to the team. Him and Gana are indispensable at the moment.

I pray to god we don’t sign that no mark from west ham and disrupt the system.
