Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

There must be some doubt about it if he's moving for £10m and it's to a Championship club. I'm not saying recruitment teams are infallible by any means but if nobody is taking the plunge at that price then there are clearly pretty widespread doubts about what he can do. From what I've seen, and heard from a West Brom supporting mate, I would have doubts too.
Seems a solid Championship player! Arguably why we went in for Dibling with huge potential

While fellows is staying at his current level

Sell him and get a loan in?
Same principle applies. Obviously as with anybody, if we can replace him with the same quality or better and make money aswell then by all means go for it, I just don't think it would be a particularly easy or necessary thing to do. I don't see anyone paying big money for him, and loans aren't free (particularly for good players) so it just doesn't seem like a likely scenario to me.

Been saying it all summer about Fellows. Seen most of his games for WBA as they’re my local team and he’s not ready for the PL. He’s a lovely kid with a really good attitude so there is scope to develop, but I’m not surprised that it’s a Championship club he’s moving to.
Would agree with this, where you living if they your local team? Are you a glory hunter? 😆 🤣

In Holland.
On paper His record was extremely impressive before he landed with them . I get everyone has concerns about the quality of other leagues and players adapting but tough to paint him as a poor finisher .

If you watched loads of him and he missed prolifically fair enough but I don’t really remember that . If he was missing a lot then Ajax must have been ridiculous those couple of season .

Like I said, we've signed some good players. Personally, at this moment in time, I'm not sure we've improved the squad to quite the extent that some people seem to think we have. A 7/10 window is fine, I literally said i'm not trying to be negative about it, but I don't need to be doing somersaults about us doing a bit of good business, that should be the absolute minimum requirement.
Looking at the like for like replacements you can’t compare Doucoure and Harrison being replaced by Grealish and Dibling. I’m sure in time Barry will be a good acquisition in place of DCL. However defensively and in midfield we are a still light. To elevate it from a 7/10 window into a 9/10 or 10/10. I’d loved to have seen a new RB (Fort) CH and LB cover (Ake) and holding DM.

Jackson is miles better than DCL. Suarez finishing was poor when he first joined Liverpool.
Harry Kane was one of the worst finishers I’ve ever witnessed when he was on loan.
He was rare.

You can tell within a few games if a striker is gonna make it or not, none of ours are gonna be good enough.
I remember when we sold Lukaku and everyone said we will spread his goals around the team, this is exactly what is happening now as we have no one who can score, unless of course we can put every chance to them , three yards out.
