New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Wow.

That's off the charts crazy.

Who on earth trained those stewards?
Got to say, I'm not that impressed with the Everton stadium staff/fan services in general. Heard loads of crazy stories on here, where it sounds like they just don't care and witnessed a few as well.

During the Roma game, I heard a woman ask the steward if there were any escalators at the South West corner (we were at the top of the stairs on the concourse). He just said "I don't know. We're figuring this out just like you are".

Fella I work with said his mate offered him 2 tickets for last night's game but was having trouble transferring them to him. He phoned the club who said he couldn't do it. When he said "you're going to end up with empty seats", they basically responded with "it is what it is".

My mate tried to get a pint from the self-serve shop last night, just as they were kicking off for the second half. He scanned his card on the barrier and got in. He walked over to the counter that was full of pre-poured pints and asked for 2, but was told he couldn't have them as they were no longer serving alcohol. They also switched off all the e-bars.

I know these are mostly teething issues, but it does seem like they haven't been trained and are being a bit arsey about stuff.

i wonder if they return to paying on the doors or paper tickets, cos i'll be able to go then.

Useless carts. Had 4 years to prepare for this and they make themselves look daft, oh well, at least the footy is good...

The thing I've never understood about the placement of the disability seating is why put the most vulnerable people in the seats most susceptible to getting an off target shot blasted their way?

The concrete there is also abhorrent – is this really the best we could do with accessibility seating? Paint it blue. Put some flags up. Anything. It looks like Coventry's stadium there.

If only we had a competent person to oversee the move to the new stadium.. all these issues should have been anticipated and the fact they haven't shows how bad the planning really has been.

It was the same at Goodison until they had to increase the amount of spaces so they put them up high.

I can honestly say in 10 years of going with my dad who uses a wheelchair didn't get hit once..it happens but not that often tbh.

I've always favoured a Wembley and Emirates type of approach where disabled fans are in the middle so makes people feel more included. We had that in the intial designs here but they went away from it. Shame really.

But they are fine where they are.in reality.

The original plans had the seating in the corners (atleast were the south stand was concerned).

Ultimately, the manner in which the accessible seating has been done, literally segregates the fans be that accessible or not. Other grounds have managed it far better then what we have - I say far better it depends what youre after.

Kevin Campbell should definitely be there. I don't have a huge issue with Unsworth - he won a cup and was a stalwart - but his inclusion stands out if people like Campbell aren't there. Super Kev would appear to be the biggest omission for me. I'd be very slow to include people who won nothing and played in poor sides when not every champion has been included, but there are legitimate exceptions as trophies, while a very good barometer, are not the only proof of excellence. Leighton Baines or Tim Cahill would justify inclusion - one for being a tremendous attacking full-back of international quality, and the other for his scoring exploits in derbies. After that, I'd be very slow to include any other players from this century so far.
Kevin Campbell was our first ever black club captain

Then we will never forget him keeping us up on his loan spell

Derby exploits also

Yeah I liked them being in the middle of the rest of the fans. Size isn't the issue, placement yes, size no.

With the way some of our players finish, moving them from the corner flag to the vicinity of the goal was probably the safest option.

That's exactly where they should've been placed in the South Stand. We were all complaining about the huge grey wall in the middle without a purpose. There should've been hundreds of premium view disability seats right in between the lower and upper.

Would love to know their reasoning for going with the option they went with because it's undeniably poor aesthetically.
