Homepage Article How To Solve A Problem Like Club View?

Another small perk, no risk of a child nearby so I can fume accordingly.
Yeah but if you read that carefully it actually is just talking about concession pricing. I’d agree it’s ambiguous but it doesn’t actually say you can’t bring an under 18 in, it just says you can’t get an under 18 ticket with a price reduction.

I'm not in Club View so not really my issue, but this came up in a group chat this morning and I couldn't see it here, so thought it might be worth sharing this fella's take...

Unfortunately this may be true. They could improve the situation by adapting the e-bar machines to take the £10 credit. It should be possible to find a technical solution for this and that would undoubtedly help.

Who'd have thought having US owners would have delivered a system where money is taken yet a product isn't as described? I mean ... the nation that proudly dreamt up snake oil salesmen.

Think it's clear personally - it even references the alcohol, before signposting to kid/season tickets available elsewhere. There's other bits like the below which says Club View is restricted to Young Adults, Adults and Seniors - before linking to "Why are juniors not allowed to sit in the Club View section"

Yeah that bit definitely looks more clear, especially the ‘why are juniors not allowed…….’ line. Although the other section is much more focussed on pricing concessions than actually a ban. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if there is ‘confusion’ internally at Everton. I think though that they were selling <18 tickets on the resale site for Mansfield as people bought them and were then panicking about bringing children……

oh so this is why seat unique are on me case all the time, trying to sell me a seat in BMD cos of this?

Is it that bad?

How was club view last night? Still issues?
Depends on definition of issues. Things like escalators / lifts won’t be fixed this season. The queues were better but in reality that was largely as there was no £10 credit to try and spend. What they will be like for the Villa game though is anyone’s guess. I suspect it will be similar to Brighton. Issues like lack of shelves / tables to put a drink are obviously still present. They could do something about this before Villa but who knows.

how on earth did they get a safety certificate for that? Is everyone just piling up stairs, like?

I’ve done a search on the FAQ’s for Club view and the “Why are juniors not allowed to sit in Club View…….” FAQ doesn’t seem to exist although as you’ve pointed out it’s clearly referenced in that one. That makes me wonder if initially they were going to have a full under 18 ban and then changed their mind and just didn’t offer concessions. Either way they have created confusion.

Under 18s are definitely not meant to be in there. As they've said from the off, it's restricted to adults and seniors. I've always known it, as its meant I can't take nephews etc.

When my brother enquired with the ticketing team towards the end of last year, they were clear there were no reduced pricing options at that time (they only subsequently introduced the young adult and senior concessions rates), they had no actual objection to my nephew sitting in there.

I take your point but I’m not clear there’s anything stopping anyone taking a child on an adult membership just as there’s nothing to stop anyone taking an over 65 on an adult membership. The club doesn’t really care as long as you don’t abuse a concession. Does anyone know what the situation is in corporate / hospitality? Do they have U18 concessions and do they allow U18’s in? It’s not an issue for me as all my kids are over 18 and no sign of grandchildren 😂. I do think it’s odd though that one of the FAQ’s references another FAQ that no longer appears to exist making me think it’s been pulled for some reason.
