Empty seats when so many couldn't get tickets - how do we resolve this?

The way it's batches that are empty and not empty seats here and there suggests it's not auto cup ST holders just not turning up.

Maybe dodgy resale sites getting hold of batches of tickets and not being able to sell them at daft prices?

That happened on Sunday as well with ppl by me. Season ticket seats doubled sold! Crazy
Did the STH get paid twice?... asking for a friend!

Tis outrageous though, fair play to the chap to handle it that way.
There must be a dedicated channel or spokesperson to take this forward to the club? How many more games can this continue, if they're not learning.

I thought that...to just fob him with off ease.

Season ticket holder as well.
I'm guessing he paid via card, get the bank fraud vultures on the case, one whiff of consumer rights breach and there'll be hell to pay, and the morons at hq that have let it happen will be back pedalling quicker than you can say 'negative headlines'.

Mad that the gate keepers can instantly reach for an illegal method of moving a paying customer along so casually. People's club eh!

My mate got to the turnstile yesterday and this ticket didn't work so he went the ticket office and they told him "they'd double sold this ticket" and basically went on to say whoever got in first got the seat.

Even worse they couldn't reimburse him and he'd paid 15 quid for parking as well.

Poor sod basically had to drive back his and catch second half on the telly.

Am sorry thats absolutely diabolical.
Genuinely outrageous butvthe sort of thing I've sadly come to expect from the club. They will have known full and well about the empty seats available as well

They'll call him a no show, that parking cost could be useful, especially if he's been reg checked driving in.

Yeah, I'd be emailing the club today to explain my dissatisfaction.

All of us season ticket holders in block 223 were told we couldn’t sit there. My understanding is that this was because the away fans were given the two blocks above the away end in the corner.

The ground design is such that in order to segregate home and away fans, the entire concourse had to be free of home fans, meaning that they had to leave huge chunks empty.

Block 223 runs into Club View, which has its own concourse, hence the block was full on one side but empty on the other.

This is either a massive cockup by the club, or they knew about it when designing the ground and thought “never mind”.

My concern is that this will happen for every cup game which means a load of season ticket holders, including me, won’t get seats for the more glamorous ties, and our cup capacity will be under 50,000 with those horrible empty blocks clearly visible on TV.

On the face of it, an attendance of well over 48,000 for a second round match against lower league opposition is truly stupendous. It just shows what a big club we are.

Something is bugging me, though. My son couldn't get a ticket for the game. Despite this, I noticed many unoccupied seats tonight. Our great stadium holds almost 53,000 people, so what happened to those 4 or 5 thousand seats? Having large banks of unoccupied seats is not conducive to a good atmosphere at all.

How can we resolve this issue?
Same on Saturday - over 1000 spare seats

I assumed corporate ones that us plebs can’t see or afford
