Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven


Good morning all on this fine one here ,well the sourdough last week just didn't rise so upon checking the mother today it looked much more bubbly so off again we go .
I hope all are well and had a good night ,nice to see @peteblue managed a decent rest and is hopefully adding to that now .That roast was a banquet @anjelikaferrett ,talk about meat and three veg ,there would be a queue at the door if invites were offered .

This Dibling lad seems a good'un and the money doesn't matter as it wasn't anyone on here that had to stump it up. These TFG are certainly giving Moyes a fair crack of the whip. A couple of loans now and the world will/could be our oyster .COYB
I see they allowed 11 minutes to give the reds a chance of another goal !

It was a great day football wise. Gate 2 was working well and quickly, however when I went through its rhs I asked for the lift as id walked from Sandhills in the blistering heat wearing a long sleeved shirt, a jumper and a fleece like an idiot and I was out on my feet tbh..going back was no easier but a marvellous lad about 2 years younger than me who I was sat next to walked back ( at a slow pace) with me. It worked well for him also as the crowds at the station were humongous but one of the rail assistants pointed me towards further helpful hands who put me in a wheelchair, took me up to the platform in a lift and another lady put me on the train. I was astounded at the kindness shown which continued by other passengers. On the train was a mother and her daughter ( about 9) who hadn’t been the match but was a blue.. I gave her the commemorative flag we had all received. When I got back to the car I opened all the windows, adjusted the sun visor to keep the sun off me then slept for 45 minutes before attempting the two and a half hour drive back home. Myself and the sun nearly ruined a perfect day…..

Very very hot day for the game but a great excuse to stop off at the Invisible Wind Factory for a light refreshment on the way. I have been out the Regent Road a few times to peep at the stadium but seeing it full of blue jerseys was simply fantastic. Everton have well and truly claimed the city centre now.

I see that the BBC have said that they came to a mutual decision with Hozier not to stream his headlining set at Reading. You can imagine how the conversation went.
BBC: You can either drop your planned speech in support of Palestine or we will not stream your set.
Hozier: Well don't stream my set then.
BBC: OK. We're in agreement then. :blush:

The BBC are really overstepping the mark with their blatant censorship. History will not be kind to them.
 
A wonderful weekend was had in Liverpool. Highlight was of course the match itself which is as you would expect. Although I had seen the outside of the ground a few times over the years, the scale of it is breathtaking when stood at it. Like a real weirdo, I had to just actually touch it to make it real.

An enjoyable stroll from the City Centre along with hundreds of other fans really made the atmosphere early on for me. You can see Regent Road changing rapidly to take advantage of new opportunities and it’s only a matter of time before it’s fully commercialised. I mean that in a positive way too, more choice and variety for fans.

I thought so too, there were a lot of moans near us but I thought that we got it right. A low key low energy performance was just what was needed given the size of our squad and another game on Saturday. Great stat about Seamus having the most seasons as an outfield player- 17 I think they said and equalling Southall’s. Plus he had a great game which was lovely to see.
The siren and the lights just before kick off was amazing- very atmospheric.
I’m working this morning and I’m shattered - I need to plan these things better 😂
