Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Ok, I know its only Mansfield but why are we looking to let Armstrong go out on loan again? Rather have him here developing around the likes of Grealish as opposed to bringing a random midfielder to make up the numbers...
Agree. Pep kept Foden at City to develop around better players despite people saying he should have went on loan. We should do the same now with Armstrong. He's ready.

First team regular footie. He won’t get it here (depending on who we bring in)

Trouble is, looking great against Mansfield (with all respect) and doing the same in the prem are two very different things. Would it be better for development to give him a few mins here and there with our first team, or let him play and develop his game week in week out against say, championship level teams where he will get more of a chance to play and learn his trade?

Genuinely asking like, I’m ace at FIFA manger mode but not exactly Sir Alex IRL

Well I know the traditional way of doing things but I also think there are times to make exceptions. If we bring in someone like Paqueta its a no brainer but a Josh Brownhill type? One thing we do know: we will have at least one or two injuries, we always do.

If we manage to stay in the cups then he'll get minutes, no bother.
