2025/26 Tim Iroegbunam

Mate, he's way to good to play in the Championship. If he's given game time I think he'll be one of our best players by the end of the season. Some people want to jump on every single thing he doesn't do perfectly. Every player in our team made multiple mistakes yesterday apart from Grealish and Pickford who were more or less flawless. No idea why everyone is obsessed with loaning him out.
Every player etc...... Really? Did you have an obscured view of the pitch? Keane? Barry? Gueue? Garner, all excellent, as well as Pickford and Grealish.

They all made multiple mistakes. Keane went for the same ball as other players numerous times, Barry hit a pass straight out of play. Garner got beaten a few times by Minteh. I'm not saying they played badly. They just weren't perfect. Neither was Tim but some people focus on his mistakes more than others for some reason.

He’s the type of player Moyes will absolutely bring on leaps and bounds. He’s great at developing these types of players with obvious talent who just need some game time, consistency, and positional development.
It's all about him getting that internal clock that the better players have, can see both Grealish and KDH fur example know what they are gonna do next before they even have the ball. Tim Iroegbunam think reacts on the spot - and it's why he makes more mistakes - simple as that really.

It's the difference with him over a player who has a championship or lower prem career or someone who develops into a pretty decent player.

You basically want Tim to be a Yaya/Dembele type but he has the mentality of a Berbatov. I remember when he first got his shot under Dyche he would do what Berb did and just glide past players. He was exciting to watch and looked elegant on the ball, but being that lax in the midfield can hurt you. If he can kind of turn that switch and up the intensity I think the sky is the limit. As with Garner it is up to him to take the next step.

He definitely isn't a DM, he doesn't look after the ball enough or have the positional sense. When he came on for Gueye our shape absolutely went to pot.

Needs a loan.
Didn’t think so - don’t know why Moyes has decided he’s a DM and a replacement for Gana, clearly isn’t.

I think he’s got ability with the ball at his feet but poor management to make do what he isn’t good at. As you say, positional discipline/awareness isn’t there.
