Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Saw quite a few incisive passes last season for Beto from Garner, Armstrong and McNeil. Im not sure we need Hackney right now but we likely will in a year or so by which time his price doubles. WE all keep on saying that we dont buy players who aren't yet star quality like Brighton or Brentford for example. WE are always a year behind the game.

If Fofana was even an option still around 35 to 40. And we got the equivalent for McNeil that's a wet dream.
That was a typo sorry it should have said 20 to 25. Teach me to be on whilst working and not proof read. If TFG are not that bothered on price as @Saint Domingo kindly pointed out his book value is circa 8M then 15M+ would still be a half decent fee if it came to pass.

We also just need be signing players that we can make definite profits on in the future. We can't have our transfer windows by 3 years of sweet eff all, one of massive spend, then 3 of sweet eff all.

Bloody hell Ste, a triple text?! Even my ma doesn't want me to message her back so quickly

Moyes could very easily go to a 3 at the back with Dibling and Grealish/Ndiaye as his wide options. Gana Gueye-KDH-Soucek sitting behind Ndiaye/Grealish. Was something he used at West Ham regularly.

Pickford
JOB-Tark-JB
Dibling-Gana-KDH-Soucek-Grealish
Ndiaye
Barry
What I'm reading here Conn is that you like to do Soucek's spinny celebration thing when you  score come on as a sub in five-a-side.

I think 15-20 might be more realistic for him this late in the window.

I agree mate, he's been a decent servant.

Seems like a decent lad as well.

I liked him from the friendly against Kiev in '22 and still do as he has never given us a moments bother with his attitude and has come out the other side of poor mental health episodes too and still contributed positively to the team.

Feel our natural progression is McNeil being given a chance to move on whilst still a goos age and then Garner in the next couple of windows after him as we upgrade each position.

Just a hunch we'd sell McNeil for the right price, and Beto provided we can get a striker of the profile Moyes would prefer.

Credible reports like Athletic saying we'd like another striker, and can't see us keeping Beto if that's the case.
Everyone has a price, it's just a question of can we get replacements in before the window closes
