Will try US. Didn't realise he also did a twilight zone reboot for 2 seasons. Might try that tooI have to agree…
It wasn’t Jordan Peele’s best effort.
I thought Get Out and Us were miles better.

Didn't quite do enough. The obvious parallels with stuff like 'Taken', but it didn't deliver. There was the introduction of a character for no reason at all, not enough vengeance, not enough violence, not enough fury. Should have tracked down both the bad guys families and offed them in revenge.
He’s still cutting his teeth as a director, I’m not saying he’s the next Alfred Hitchcock, but there’s definitely potential for improvement. Will try US. Didn't realise he also did a twilight zone reboot for 2 seasons. Might try that too
The judge was asking for it, he was the mastermind 'cos he wanted into the grand daughters knickers. He set the court appointed bad guy on his mission. Wasn't bothered the step dad copped a bad fate as he was a spite*. They introduced the shotguns, they introduced her temper, they back storied her vicious past, and then left it. This wasn't a tale of redemption. How did her pal die? Why did the son pick up the gauntlet? Why so happy to run around killing when he only knows her by reputation? The blocks for a solid actioner were there, could have been an edgy thriller, but it went flat, agreed. Wasted chance.Had all the elements to be a really good film, but ultimately felt a bit flat.
The film was made for Dale Hickey and it never really took advantage of that.
All the way through you kept expecting her to erupt and go full on Punisher, but it never happened.
It`s a film that deserves to be re done ( imo ) .

Also the gardener (both) was a signposted heel. She was 61 when she made it, looks late 70's. And no one is leaving hundreds of thousands of dollars (gold or otherwise) in the roof of an abandoned house.
old people with money don't tend to end up on the receiving end of court decisions. again, could have gone for the judge to spell this one out, opportunity missed.Apparently the guardianship scam was based on a real case in the States - not sure of it`s still a thing !
Agreed mate.The latest two watched
"Together", wasn't awful, interesting plot, just felt that the special effects could have been a bit better, decent enough to pass a couple of hours
"Red Sonja", I love a bit of swords and sorcery, Jason and the Argonauts is still one of my favourite films, this has a decent cast and storyline, but it just didn't bring anything new to the table, the CGI is average the supporting cast, who are a main Strand to the overall plot you don't really care about, average film overall watch it if your bored
I enjoyed Substance, as you say there is elements of it in Together, it just didn't quite get it rightAgreed mate.
I thought it had slight shades of that Demi Moore film from last year: ‘The Substance’…
I was about to ask how the book compares? One of the best, no doubt some book bore will turn up and tell you the book is better
All three films were on BBC2 over the weekend and into Monday. Both of those films are quite easily some of the best films ever made.Godfather doc on BBC Four now, then the real deal back to back.
9pm The Godfather
11:45pm The Godfather pt II
Did you watch the documentary just? All three films were on BBC2 over the weekend and into Monday. Both of those films were quite easily some of the best films ever made.
Godfather III is nowhere near as good as the first two, so it gets a lot of flack. As a film in its own right, however, I don't think it's terrible.
