Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Playing Zat like 4d transfer chess....I wonder if Wolves sold Strand Larsen to Newcastle for £60m and wanted a PL experienced striker to join their Portuguese contingent if they might go for Beto and at what price we would be happy to do a deal this late in the window.

If we had another striker lined up ( there was talk of Dju and a 21yr old at Villarreal?) I'd be sorely tempted to move Beto on if Wolves stumped up £35-40m

And it will be a decent 30 to25m if it happens and I like McNeil but he will fstruggle for time unless out of firm/injuries struke with 1st choices. Would go with my blessing as a decent servant.
I think 15-20 might be more realistic for him this late in the window.

I agree mate, he's been a decent servant.

Seems like a decent lad as well.

I’m not saying I would. I’m saying I could see Moyes doing it. Managers tend to pick their signings over the players they inherited.

Long term though we can improve on Ndiaye. He’s a good player but I do think sometimes he is overhyped by blues. He’ll get goals for sure but when you say he’s our most creative he doesn’t get many assists.
Ndiaye is a good player - but he stands out simply because we haven't had a creative or flair player worth his salt since James left. I think he's developing nicely, so I see a future for him at Everton, but I'm not sure his ceiling is anything like as high as his admirers suggest. Remember, at our club, DCL was held up as a "top player" by some when he was nothing of the sort.

There should be no sacred cows now if we are truly ambitious. Pickford and Grealish is the level we need to be making baseline. Branthwaite - our best deal of the summer - also HAS to keep developing and get reliably fit or he risks remaining mere potential. This is how clubs get better. They buy better players to replace inferior ones - and the only existing players who get to stay are those who get better.

I’d cautiously say that I’m not sure whether Ndiaye would make the line up if we bought Fofana in.

You don’t pay out big money as a manager on Dibling Grealish Fofana KDH to then bench one or two of them for Ndiaye who was brought in by a previous manager.

Ndiaye is great but he’s not going to run away from anyone and doesn’t get many assists.

Alcaraz and Ndiaye as options to come on though in that 3 behind the striker would be brilliant.

If we got Fofana it adds searing pace to the frontline. A player we could make a PSR profit on next summer potentially as well.

Seeing as you mention me and Wolves...One player that hasnt been mentioned is Andre, the Wolves DM.

As for Beto, i think its a huge risk to sell him at this late stage unless there is a Woltemade type player ready to come in...not a raw prospect
