Dominic Calvert-Lewin watch

Yes in general I don't hate most Everton players who have left Everton. You can still have respect for a player, despite him leaving Everton, but at same time I couldn't care less if Richarlison scores a hat trick against Arsenal for Spurs. My issue is with celebrity culture, where people think they develop a personal love or hatred for somebody they don't know. It's like Ian St John was supposedly one of the nicest people you could meet, even though he played for Liverpool. I've known Liverpool fans who have said Jimmy Case was a nasty piece of work on and off the pitch. I can only judge DCL as a player, for Everton and say he was pretty average at times and missed numerous sitters. He held out for an amount of money he didn't deserve, thought he would end up at Arsenal and has ended up at Leeds whose fans are already mocking him. I can't say I wish him well, due to way he left, but at same time fans forget players are human beings and I wouldn't abuse him on social media either.
Agree with some of that, especially the celebrity culture bit, but disagree with other bits - I genuinely am happy for Richy if he scores against Arsenal for Spurs

But people having different reactions to events and people is one of the things that makes football and sport in general so interesting and popular. It would be kinda boring if there wasn’t that variety in responses and GOT wouldn’t get the traffic it does!

Add to that, there`s a good proportion of them that are EDL / Reform voting scum and his fashion sense doesn`t sit too well with them.

He got a bit of stick on here for his wacky androgynous clothes, but it was by and large tongue in cheek, it seems to be personal with them.

You have to bear in mind, that Leeds supporters seem to hate everyone who isn`t like them or isn`t from Leeds, that includes if you come from places like the villages that form some of the suburbs of Leeds - " not proper Leeds "

They`re proper scum mate.
Which has created an entirely new reason for me to want DCL to do well, I hope they choke on that song!

You wont be laughing when that little poison brexit dwarf Vardy is leading our line.
SHUT your mouth, Goat! 🫢

Don’t even joke about that sh.t, mate…

I reckon between Beto and Barry, they’ll bag 15/16 goals together… If we don’t sign a backup striker before the window closes.

That’s not just Leeds supporters - lots of places in England are like that. Eg Scousers and the “wool” obsession, cockneys only born within earshot of the bow bells.

That aside I agree they are a very odd bunch of football fans.

Clubs like Leeds, Newcastle, Celtic and Rangers have always attracted people who are only interested in going on ale and causing trouble. Other than RS, Leeds and Newcastle are worst supporters to deal with, Newcastle fans singing get your "t**s" out for the lads to a girl who was about 14. Any group of fans, who are more interested in "bantz" with opposition fans or singing songs that have nothing to do with sports are morons. Leeds, Newcastle, City, Celtic, Rangers, Hearts are worse culprits. Glad Wednesday beat them couldn't happen to a nicer group of supporters.
