Funnily enough Doucoure is miles ahead of him in certain categories, worryingly some of those are passing and progressing the ball.

Won't even mention the effect adding a player slower than McNeil to centre mid would have on this side. Or the fact Moyes will use him at times - probs my a lot as the number ten in a fellaini way, kicking out a player with actual ability from there.

He looked boss on Friday though, without him that 5 may have been 6 put past west ham.

But hey leaving absolute yard dogs for other managers to deal with is the clubs MO in recent years.

Meanwhile Soucek simply can't run.

@Connor ok mate, so where does Soucek play in this side, whose spot is he taking? As sure as anything he'd be coming in as a starter given the wages he'd be on.

Moyes could very easily go to a 3 at the back with Dibling and Grealish/Ndiaye as his wide options. Gana Gueye-KDH-Soucek sitting behind Ndiaye/Grealish. Was something he used at West Ham regularly.

We need some short term squad fillers to pad out the back up. A defender who can play across the whole back line would be ideal, or one that can play either full back role, a central midfielder and possibly a striker.

Let's be honest, if we do sign a RB & no.6, its not been an adequate window, its been an unbelievable window from what the squad was the last few seasons

Nothing much seems to be happening...seeing that it takes us 2 to 3 weeks to complete a signing, I dont see any anymore incomings apart from a loan deal or 2 on deadline day...we need more players in as the size of the squad is very small right now.

Pretty much every transfer has taken 2-3 days from agreement to being done this summer

Not as wing backs, no. They'd stay up while Gana and KDH/Garner cover.

He literally did the same at West Ham across both spells - including winning the Farmers - using the likes of Noble, Rice, and RYAN FREDERICKS

I don't see that as a problem now. Diblings signing has done a lot for optimism and I think it's fair to say now that they are about on track for where they should be in terms of numbers.

There was always going to be some portion of work remaining to be done on Monday. Opportunities will open up over the weekend and later.

If they get RB and CDM in then I think it will as good a window all told as we could have hoped for.
