Granted there’s a little more to do but are we happy with our window now?

Waiting to see how things turn out , for me the right back situation needs improvement and a defensive midfielder.

We have been mediocre for so long it’s a tough ask to overhaul everything substantially in one window.

With the players we have brought in I’m just hoping they work out because I’m fed up of being disappointed, it’s why I won’t get carried away regardless and will wait and see how it turns out throughout the season.

Admittedly Sunday afternoon till now has been nice and I’ve enjoyed it, hopefully many more of these times to come.

Delighted now we’ve finally got a RW signed, was worried we weren’t gonna address that for the 8th summer in a row If we go and get a decent RB and CDM on loan it’ll represent a very successful window imo.

He played DM for derby.

He's not a AM, I'll give you a no.8 though. In terms of style of play I think he suits a more defensive role but as someone that can drive forward on attacking runs. He's not ready to start games, hence making the bench and coming on. This is a far better way of integrating a young player into the team - in recent history, all our young players that have left on loan have been sold for book profit after their successful season.

Give him 6 months of being in and around the team, especially if we start playing better, because that means we can take more risks with youth players later in the game. If by January he's not cutting the mustard or he's not getting game time, then ship him out on loan for 6 months, but I think for now he'd be better in the squad than not.

No one knows what he'll become but at Derby he was either sat behind 2 CMs (as the 6) or the deeper player in a pairing.

The poster you're both replying to clearly has made up a fantasy in their mind about him playing attacking midfield for Derby.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

As for loaning him out, we have a lot of CMs now:

KDH
Iroegbunam
Armstrong
+ potentially a new 6.

It may be that he's loaned if we have 6 players for 2 positions.
