They've signed a keeper from (I want to say) Lille who was absolutely unreal in Ligue 1 last year and who they think is the next big thing. Great with the ball at his feet and super acrobatic. Sort of Casillas vibes

Perhaps they are simply cutting their losses with GD if this new fella is the long term replacement, just chuck him in now and be done with it

GD is a decent shot stopper and has a habit of playing great in the latter stages of competitions but has been massively suspect for a while before last year's crazy CL form and made a lot of high profile errors, looking particularly suspect from crosses

Hermadsen was quite highly rated by the stat bummers, high save percentage and whatnot
