Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I'm not sure that's really what we'd be doing though. I can't imagine why he would swap his current role at West Ham to be a back up player here, and as we could really do with strengthening the starting midfield it would seem an odd one to just add a super sub to come on and win some headers when we need it. I don't think he's a bad player and I would be horrified at the signing, but it would seem a bit of a strange decision to bring him in as he doesn't really fit the profile of what we're lacking in my opinion. It would have the concerning look of just bringing someone in because it's an easy deal and they're available rather than because we've identified them as a player we need.

Here's my issue, he's on 90k pw so we will have to at least match that, he looks on the slide physically. He plays DM yet is a rubbish defensive player - and if he arrived then that's "the DM sorted" when we will still have a huge weakness there.

Throw in his passing stats are bad yet he also ranks really poor in progressive passing - meaning he's REALLY bad at passing the ball in a team which is now loaded with players who id we get them it can run at defences.

He also would come in as a starter displacing likely Gueye or Garner (most likely Garner)

If this is true. Fort seems the obvious choice. Not getting in barcas team they need the money so they can register players, he knows aznou..

But I don’t see Moyes playing 2 19 year olds down the one side
AMN is acceptable - he's a decent fullback - good pace, decent delivery and can get up and down that side.

He's also played at RB the season alongside O'Brien (at right CB) at Lyon, so partnership worked previously so less bedding in time

They hit the woodwork twice, missed a pen and Welbeck somehow missed an open goal. There’s no doubt that Brighton were the better team, especially in the first half.
The only real chance that they should have scored from was the terrible miss from Wellbeck. Mitoma handled the ball not once, but TWICE before hitting the bar, if that had gone in you’d hope VAR would have looked at that and chalked it off!

The second was a shot that wouldn’t have troubled Pickford until it took a wicked deflection and struck the post, and the penalty wasn’t a great chance and was harsh to have been awarded.

Don’t forget Moyes will use McNeil in that 3 behind the striker pretty regularly. Probably more on the right with Grealish coming in.

We have plenty of attacking options for central mid. We are short on real holding quality. We need a 6, not 8s or 10s.

I rate Garner but he’s more like KDH than he is like Gana.

And even this was not such a great chance. The pass wasn't the best, Welbeck got the ball slightly behind him.

Saving himself for us...already commited to the cause! TBF he will probably be there longer than the manager.

Funnily enough the rangers fans are backing him over Martin which speaks volumes about what they think of Russell Martin.

The lads a great finisher but hasn’t got much else to his game, Tosun Mk2. He is young and can be coached into becoming a great player.

But when you refuse to play well it’s then difficult for the lad as he believes Rangers have overpriced him and he wants to move but refuse to play !?

Not sure about that
