Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I wish you too a most pleasant day.

Keane has been a miles ahead of Takowski in the first 2 games.

Im worried about Tarkowski.
Tarkowski will get better as the season progresses. Keane, not so much. I'm afraid Keane only has 1 maybe 2 more games in him before he starts doing foolish things. Hopefully JB will be back by then. I'm not sure of his return time.

The fella you were agreeing with did though?!

If I was in charge I wouldn't go anywhere near Soucek. I explained why it would be a very bad move financially. My comment was clearly, if Moyes insists on him, you could make an argument that the club could take a punt for £5m. Anything above that is financial madness. Think that's quite clear in the original post tbh.
Me and Moyes think Soucek would be a decent addition so it's kinda irrelevant what you think.

One of my concerns with Soucek is that it allows Moyes to indulge his worst pragmatic tendencies.

We've signed a number of good, technical player this summer which is a welcome change from the dross we've had here for the last few years.

Moyes loves Soucek and I could just see him finding a way of getting him in the team which would make us play worse football and be weaker overall, but it being justified by Moyes and others because he'd chip in with half a dozen goals or more over the season

I see reports are saying OM are in talks with Benfica for Florentino Luis on loan with an obligation. Surely that is worth a punt? We have to be careful not to back ourselves into a corner with the PL experience stuff this close to the end of the window.

I agree, it might be the obligation that would put Moyes off.

I do think if it comes to it, he'll be less demanding of needing experience for just straight loans, or loans with options, if that means he can get cover in.
