Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I do believe that our learned friend @MikeH72 may want to take the lead on this very important topic, closely followed by our very own fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse @davek may wish to contribute too.

For what it’s worth, since you asked, I still think our strategy and planning for the window was all over the place and Moyes pulling a rabbit out of a hat with no wingers or full backs available to him for the opening two games hasn’t changed that one bit.

There are a ton of "for the future" players we really need to be looking at. Gana has been essentially undroppable his entire tenure here but he's like REALLY old now for a footballer. Forward thinking would be a refreshing change for us.

Juanlu Sanchez doesn't want us - why would he when the other option is the Italian champions. We can pretty much forget about that.
I feel like a RB signing will come out of nowhere, probably on loan, in the last couple days of the window.

What is it with his age? If he performs to the required level that is what matters. I agree we need to have provision to replace him when he is finally deemed not to be performing for us - but that goes for anyone irrespective of age.

It is much more urgent to pull the parachute cord when you are 5 metres from a sharp introduction to the ground compared to when you're 2km up.

I didn't mention potter?

If soucek is one to avoid why are you saying we should sign him got £5m? 😂
The fella you were agreeing with did though?!

If I was in charge I wouldn't go anywhere near Soucek. I explained why it would be a very bad move financially. My comment was clearly, if Moyes insists on him, you could make an argument that the club could take a punt for £5m. Anything above that is financial madness. Think that's quite clear in the original post tbh.

Er, has Moyes ever played with wingers?

I wish you too a most pleasant day.

Keane has been a miles ahead of Takowski in the first 2 games.

Im worried about Tarkowski.
It's why we desperately need a proper right back which would allow O'Brien to properly compete for his natural position, the exact reason why we bought him in the first place.

Tarkowski has been brilliant for us and I am sure he will continue to be but he should have to fight to keep his place - the same as any other player in the team.
