Issue is his best position is the same as KDH as is how he plays kinda

For Brazil his shirt number a year back was number 8. Used to be 10 and then 7.

I'm not against you there, but we have to be realistic about what we can achieve in a window.

I can't guarantee you much, but I can guarantee that we will have to scrape by at times this season, as pretty much every team who isn't called Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea or Man City will also have to. Building an elite squad with quality or even depth in every position takes years.

Under current circumstances I think we definitely need CDM and RB for depth if not first team starting

But imo the other positions are probably nice to have. Tbh in an ideal world id like us to replace Tarkowski, Beto, Mykolenko, McNeill and a fair few others, to have a champions league challenging team. But in reality, they'll suffice for us for the next few years, while we build

Oh iam very realistic ive been heavily critical about the window since we didn't have any new players in for pre season.

I think it was quite realistic with the amount of time provided . With proper planning every position could have easily been solved .

I dont mind those players you listed as squad options . That's realistic isn't it ?

Mainoo, i like but as someone has mentioned earlier, Tim Iroegbunam is doing well and at a similar level of development.

Why not?

Because 50m for a 31 year old is never going to be triggered by a club in our position unless something miraculous happens this season and we get to a level where we could genuinely challenge for trophies next season. It's not to do with how good he is - it's just the reality of PSR, it's too much of a black hole with someone that age (IE they're not resellable).

I can see us trying to negotiate a lower fee though
