Agreed. I happen to think he's overrated - shouldn't have been starting for England and was only there because of the shirt he wore - but at the same time he clearly would improve us in an area we badly need more.

And arguably, he needs regular football at a non-toxic club to start realising some of his apparent potential.

People dismissing Conor Gallagher need to follow a different sport.

He’s EXACTLY what we need.

High energy, box to box, workhorse & possesses real quality.

I’d be over the moon if he came in on loan, followed up by a CF & a RB.

We’d be well set then.

I though the club he plays for have stated they are not looking to loan him out and even then its too late to get a replacement.

I'll be honest I struggle to see where Soucek or Paqueta fit and the need for them. We're suitably covered for attacking mids. Especially without the extra games Europe would involve.

He is good technically, would probably be better than what we have in that respect but his athleticism and stamina is really not good. It's pretty poor for a PL player.

Other than Barry who's not bagged yet, have we technically filled _any_ of those spaces, beyond Dibling this week.

KDH, is barely a centre mid.

Not that I minded watching Jack on Sunday ( I've moaned about what a strange loan this, happy to eat humble pie if produces more of that ).

No. KDH is far better with the ball, Gallagher is better without the ball. I personally think KDH is a better footballer.
Gallagher has already played the best game for Everton he ever will, when we were 2-0 down against Palace ant Goodison and Gallagher came on. He completely derailed Palace by aimlessly charging about (his best quality), he’s a Duracell plopper.

Gallagher could play CDM, tackles, press and interceptions. He was praised highly at Athleti initially for this role.

KDH is more of an attacking CM who picks it up in midfield and moves it forward as a creator or late runner.

Would love Gallagher. One of KDH, Dibling, Grealish or Ndiaye would have to be dropped though…
