2025/26 Michael Keane

The question is, when does the back up become first choice? If Keane does well he should keep his place on principle.
IMO going forward it should be Braithwaite and O Brien. But we need a fit and good RB for that to happen. I think Tarks best days are behind him and Keane I can never fully trust. Maybe Moyes is getting the best out of Keane. He did want him at West Ham I believe.

A player someone likes has a great game and hes amazing, incredible performance etc

A player someone hates has a great game, ah he did ok, he needs to do it all season, overreacting to one performance or make up a scenario that he would be rubbish in.

I was one of the ones saying we needed rid a year ago, liability etc. but his performances the first two games and most games he played in last season have been decent. Hell have some rubbish games like all players do but as a third or fourth choice he has shown he’s capable and im sound admitting i was wrong.

I liken Keane to the Spices of Kashmir curry house from round my gaff years ago.

You'd get food poisoning and be leaking from every orifice for a week and then a few months later you'd kind of forget, go back and get a decent curry.

"Hey it isn't so bad this place after all"

And we'd be all smiles while ordering a chicken balti.

Next morning your arse is hanging out again and you remember why you avoided the place.

Michael Keane is the Spices of Kashmir. He's currently a decent chicken balti, but we all know any day now we can wake up with the squits.

You weren`t wrong mate.

His bad games and games that cost us points far outweigh his good games.

We`re two games in, let`s see how he`s getting on after 6/8 games before declaring him as proper competition for the first choice CB`s.

Good summation of the situation. Bit like eating that expired [blank] in the fridge...will it haunt you?
