Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I’d assume we’d just loan him again if he wants to stay. City will want his wages off the books again, they’re too high to shift permanently now. Another loan deal will suit all parties once again.
They aren’t going to loan him on his last year. Plus, if he has a really good year at us, someone will buy him.

We need a player who is good enough in possession to get it off the back 4 and find balls between the lines, but out of possession can also hold their position and out tackles in. Ideally tall enough to head goal kicks away as well would be a bonus. Basically a Matic, Rodri, Casemiro, Busquets type (obviously very difficult to get ones as good as these but that type of player). We don’t need another player to chase the ball in midfield.
Only one player we should get imo: Frenkie de Jong ;)

The dream is he falls in love with us and lowers his salary.
Frankly more chance with this dream coming true mate.

It'd be our record signing. It's far from standard.
Yeah but that's only because we have spent no money in half a decade? I'd have to look into it but I'd be fairly confident we'd have a bottom half PL record signing, there are easily 10 clubs that have bigger.
Its just way too early to even contemplate that stuff , he had a stellar game , that notion becomes discourse if he keeps performing at that level for another 20 or so games then we can talk about such matters
I'm not basing it off of one game obviously, this is more of a Gareth Barry signing where he's just obviously better than the rest, we already have the deal negotiated and it's a deal we should do if we can, more than any performance.

They need Grealish to help take the team to an upper mid-table position. After too many seasons battling for survival, they have a hard time attracting anyone with Europe aspirations. Whether that means they look to buy him next year or not, he will have helped change the perception of the franchise.

It would be a record fee for 12 of the teams in the league this year.
