Been the match, came home and watched the Sky coverage too.

Initial reaction;
Positive things - good result, good atmosphere.
Negative things - not the time after a feel good day like today. (Hint: Appalled at kopite Sky cameramen over emphasis on surrounding vistas showing the next door sewage works and other rundown brickworks that made the area around Goodison look like Windsor).

It was a bit strange that 99% of those ariel shots above the stadium were from the same angle with sewage works behind. Wouldn’t have taken much to sweep around and show the view of the city or river and the Wirral etc , even would have seen North Wales from up there too.

That's the best video of the lot, taking in the sheer scale of the place. Dixie, Big Nev, and other legends looking down from the scoreboards was a genius touch.

…..word will be out, wouldn’t be surprised if we’re hosting a major European final in the next few years.

I'm sort of surprised more hasn't been made of this (at least in public). We should be hosting the Europa League final and bidding for the right to do so in 2028 onwards. Perfect UEFA prep for Euro 2028.

Shame the flag tifo thing didn’t work as well as I hoped it would.
The NSNO, Everton and 1878 made by the flags were very clearly visible on the empty seats, but couldn’t really make out anything on the TV.

Just goes to show you that the fans make the noise and we are Everton.

We could probably make the London Stadium sound good but I'm glad we have this steep sided monster too help. Just think what it will sound like against the RS or Utd.

Just searched Everton Stadium on social
Media and the response to this ground from fans of all clubs and media personalities is fantastic. Yes there’s comments from the usual suspects trying to put it down, but level headed reasonable people around the country have been full of praise, from Brighton fans at the game to West Ham fans using it to have a dig at their owners.

Absolutely magnificent. Well done everyone. What a home.
