Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Need to get that all cleared up as we march towards Europe šŸ˜‰šŸ¤£
Funnily enough they've financially backed Roma this summer also. Looks like they are pushing heavily for CL, can see the groups target being CL for Roma and EL for us.

Roma imo look well placed to qualify this season as over the last couple of years they've moulded the team really well and now have in place a very good structure at the club with Rainieri upstairs and a good manager in situ

It's why if I'm honest despite getting worried because "Everton baggage" looking at how they are doing things in Rome eases concerns, they are clearly learning on the job - thankfully we will benefit from some early mistakes at Rome. But they do seem to actually have a clear idea about how they want to do so and a long term aim and ambition.

Seperate yes, but there will be some communication at certain levels, no coincidence the last test event plus the legends game was Vs them and I'd imagine we end up in Rome for a game next season also.

TFG will have put in place a certain shared philosophy at both clubs, in terms of transfers etc, youth academy stuff yada yada, can see some deals happening between us over the coming years.

Long as those deals serve both clubs interests it's the correct move.
Personally don't think there will be any players deals between the two clubs, the game the other week was a glorified friendly.

As much as abusing the multi club model would be helpful financially I don’t think they will either. There’s no clear hierarchy of clubs with TFG unlike City Group, Red Bull etc. so all they’d end up doing is pissing fans off. Would be a large PR fumble if they started doing it.

I guess we will see over the next week mate.

The Ferguson deal to Roma was curious for me as it's known we had a strong interest, also Wesley was definitely a player of interest for us last January.

Coincidence or maybe sharing certain info between clubs, who knows at this point. But curious that in both instances one club moved and the other didn't so not competing against each other on initial looks.

Now what for me would strongly hint on that being true would be if now Roma do t need a DM any ore but we clearly do, then a player they'd done a bit of work on a desk for in Frendrup - vaguely linked to us in June suddenly pops up here.

Just speculation really, but is interesting to witness if anything does happen.

Don’t believe everything you read on the …<checks notes>… *internet*.
I don't mainly as there are charlatans out there who tend to post nonsense to increase their popularity in the form of clicks.

So taking youre own advice why push a clearly made up story that you knew was nonsense ? Maybe check your facts before pushing single source BS into the forum in future

It's more a working on certain areas of pooling data etc - plus helping out when it's mutually beneficial to both clubs.

Take the fullback I mentioned, that's a situation that both clubs ultimately can benefit from, we get a player needed, they ensure a loan to a high profile league and game time to increase his market value. Also I've mentioned Bove - he can basically leave on a free, him arriving here keeps a potentially decent value asset within the group.

Yeh just don’t see it myself. They won’t want Roma fans thinking they’re priming them up to ultimately be second class to us. Likewise the other way. Think it’s best they just leave us both to it.

I don't think we will see anything between the clubs which clearly is done to benefit one over the other btw, not even as a PSR work around.

More see it as at times certain bits of business may be convenient for both.

Yeah it carries a risk of perception skewing it.

Common sense (lacking sadly) shows both clubs are too big to be a pyramid for each other actually.
