Ndiaye's flexibility and having also signed Alcaraz will remove a lot of expectation from him and not thrust him into the side immediately and make him undroppable. He'll be used wisely by the Moist one. Hope he can hit the ground running, but nobody should expect him to arrive and start putting in 9/10 performances week in, week out.

The difference between 35m and 42m is big if true. With a 20% sell on you would have to sell him for more than 70m to hit that 42m total cost to us.

But again I guess all that REALLY matters is if hes good or not. We wont think its a very good negotiation if he turns out to be a 20m player.

I stand corrected but selling fees are normally the percentage profit. You recoup first then share the gain if sold above cost.

I hope it means he’s afforded more time to settle.

I think he’ll get a load of games but I wonder if we’ll be careful with him, especially to begin with.

Either way, at his age he’s going to have a few bad games and go missing every now and then. Which is all to be expected.

A 20% sell on clause is worth absolutely nothing to Southampton if he signs, we are successful and he spends his career here.

We as supporters cannot influence a players purchase so let the so called professionals do their dealing and enjoy the players and welcome them when they arrive.:cheers::dance::dance::dance::cheers:

I mean, I do completely agree - though with a couple of minor notes.

First - I think he should be thrust into the side, and he should be made undroppable. Use him unwisely.

Second - I’ll be expecting him to arrive and start putting in 9/10 performances week in, week out.

Otherwise, we’re on the same page.
