2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

Kids know…..

What a player.

I'd honestly like to see Ndiaye play upfront.
Watching him once again on the weekend turning and weaving his way through 4 players on the wing, I'd love for him to be picking up the ball 25yards out and turning the CBs inside out. We dont need a tall lumber upfront as ours cant even trap or control a ball anyway.

Ndiaye
Mcneil - Grealish - Dibling
KDH - Gana
I think he could play there in a front-foot side that has control of games. He's pretty good at competing for long balls, but he hasn't really got the physicality to deal with the way we launch things at the striker's head or expect them to outrun everyone down a channel, as we do at the moment. Would be a nice experiment though. He's definitely got the tools to score more goals from there.

I know Grealish has rightly got most of the attention but it’s great that Ndiaye scored the last ever goal at GP and first ever goal at HD.

As well as being a superb player, his attitude is spot on and he seems to be universally loved.

Has to be Thelwell’s greatest signing during a period of significant financial pressure.

He was holding his right leg fair bit for 5 mins before he came off, and looked visible tired/slowed down. Must have got a knock. Hopefully just being careful
I thought he went off because he looked knackered and why wouldn’t he, he ran all over the place for sixty minutes up and down that line, he was my MOTM before he went off and not just for anticipating where Grealish was going to put that centre. I hope he went off because of that tiredness and not through an injury— he is invaluable to Everton with the amount of work he does and getting you off your seat with plenty of it.
