Flags, fireworks and all 3 points- what else could you ask for šŸ’™

It was a great day football wise. Gate 2 was working well and quickly, however when I went through its rhs I asked for the lift as id walked from Sandhills in the blistering heat wearing a long sleeved shirt, a jumper and a fleece like an idiot and I was out on my feet tbh..going back was no easier but a marvellous lad about 2 years younger than me who I was sat next to walked back ( at a slow pace) with me. It worked well for him also as the crowds at the station were humongous but one of the rail assistants pointed me towards further helpful hands who put me in a wheelchair, took me up to the platform in a lift and another lady put me on the train. I was astounded at the kindness shown which continued by other passengers. On the train was a mother and her daughter ( about 9) who hadn’t been the match but was a blue.. I gave her the commemorative flag we had all received. When I got back to the car I opened all the windows, adjusted the sun visor to keep the sun off me then slept for 45 minutes before attempting the two and a half hour drive back home. Myself and the sun nearly ruined a perfect day…..

Good morning all on this dull one here .I am so glad for theones who managed to get a seat and watch such an historic occasion .Forever part of Everton history ,well done to all concerned -jealous me ? of course I am . There is no fool like an old fool eh @peteblue a prize for anyone who hasn't done similar ,it just shows how easy it is to make a serious mistake as you get older ,we all think we are stronger/fitter than we are part of the human genome methinks .Off to get a suction apparatus to get the oil out of the rear differential ,the last of the oils .I had a look on Friday and there was no way my syringe would have got the old thick oil out so i turning to a proffesional quality pump .Not too expensive and if you calculate the garage cost then an absolute bargain ,I do love fiddling about with things but still haven't got the quad where I want it -may be this week !
Have a great day all ,looking forward to Wednesday COYB

Well what a wonderful day yesterday.

Enjoyed the game even though we rode our luck in the 1st half . What was Tarky up to ? Looked like he's been out on the ale the night before. Grealish was a level above , a proper player.

The stadium looked fantastic. I'm sure that you all had a great time @Val P @Armaghtoffee @peteblue

Last day of summer today and then much needed rain on its way.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Gracious me I bet you were lathered (local for very hot and bothered)! It was extremely hot yesterday around the ground I was glad to get in the shade myself. Nice to hear you got lots of support and enjoyed it

The Merseyrail people, Everton’s golf buggy women and every supporter I met were all first class and helpful. I’ll probably do the opposite and freeze to death at the Villa game….. ⛄

Hi folks. Mr F and I are going to watch the Newcastle match. Mr F is fuming about Isak. We've had another fun but busy day with the family. In spite of the heat a roast dinner was requested and I obliged!
They have all gone home now. It's been lovely but we are both exhausted! Im so glad I'm not in work tomorrow.
Have a great evening x
A roast dinner is acceptable any day, cold or hot. I could live on 'em.

What roast did you have ?

Nothing fancy - roast chicken, stuffing roast potatoes, mashed potatoes,Yorkshire puddings (north east natives love both mash and Yorkshires with any roast dinner), carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and gravy.

I’ve got to say Pete I’m so pleased for you that you made it on Sunday and you’re looking forward to the next game after all you’ve been through and everything you do for Kay.
