100% this. If anything he bailed Gana out a couple of times in the first half. Most of those I saw were created by his more experienced partner.

today's performance for him definitely cemented him in our young core in my mind, a loan might be in order though cause I'm not sure we can have him in the starting 11 each weekThought he did really well today
perfect description honestlyhe’s equal parts champions league and Sunday league.
In all honesty, the most head scratching thing is your inexplicable continued self belief in your own tactical acumen/understanding.Today was the only time ive seen a truly excellent performance from him.
I posted in the KDH thread that those 2 central positions are a real confusion for me.
Iroegbunam and Gana were everywhere centrally BUT you make an excellent point.
Neither of them can hold a deep defensive position as a 6 as both move towards the ball.
Moyes apparently wants a 6.
2 positions = Iroegbunam, Garner, Gana, KDH, Armstrong + new 6 = 6 players for 2 positions.
That seems like overkill to me and i think we need a sitting 6 due to having 4 attacking players.
Potentially Iroegbunam becomes our new 'Gana-type' midfielder?
Head scratcher.
In what way was he messy? He was our best midfielder on the ball. He's messy but he might have something
There's absolutely no way he's going on loan. He needs lots of premier league minutes. Lots of you clearly can't recognise the attributes that make a potentially great player. Tim has all the tools to be a high level player for us this season. He does all of the difficult things that can't be taught well. He just needs experience/know how which he can learn. It's absolutely baffling how little some people rate him.today's performance for him definitely cemented him in our young core in my mind, a loan might be in order though cause I'm not sure we can have him in the starting 11 each week
Absolutely not.Does anyone else think he could be used at centre-back if necessary? I thought he was excellent defensively today and his overall performance was one of his best despite making one or two loose passes. As others have mentioned, there is a player there who can offer something to us and he is certainly a Premier League quality footballer.
Why? His ability to make tackles and put in blocks has been demonstrated on plenty of occasions, plus he has the height to operate as a centre-back. He would not be my first choice in the position but I am confident he would be able to do a job if required.Absolutely not.![]()
Today's late challenge which got him booked was poor and it could have been a sending off had his feet been raised. Hopefully gaining experience will help him cut out some of those mis-timed challenges.Just needs to cut out these silly yellows.
Puts himself under unnecessary pressure get booked early.
