Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Grealish looked great wide left and Illy looked great wide right. I wonder who shifts where when Dibling comes in.

An RB and a holding mid to cover Gana and we’re looking good.

LB injuries still a concern.
And another striker. Dibling provides us more depth. Considering our injuries that bench is starting to firm up a bit. Few additions and hopefully we have one that can change games. I'd not loan Tim or Armstrong either.

I was about to post this.. this is how I see it too.. dropping KDH further back.. maybe in place of Tim...

That fills me with excitement.

Yeh as much as Gana and Tim had mostly good games today there's still an enormous lack of connectivity between the defence and the 3 attacking mids.

KDH looked better when dropped back because he can actually get on the ball.

Exactly it's why I favour this formation with Tim and Gana rotating... and garner rotating with KDH when we actually have a left back!

Barry looked good with another player close in. I think Illy playing off him is a good look.

I did notice that Barry struggles with timing long ball headers. I’m not really criticizing his headers on crosses as he timed those better even if his finish was off.

Beto as a late sub is a handful. I can see Moues rotating them a bit.

I like Tim but I’m not sure he is good cover for Gana. He’s a different sort. KDH/Garner/Tim are all different from each other but still a flavor of an 8.

Gana isn’t exactly a 6 but he’s not really an 8 either. He covers a lot of space and tackles well. Tim is more of a bully but his positioning is a question.

I’d like a new 6 as depth but barring that I’d probably prefer Garner as Gana’s depth than Tim.

Everton boss David Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports:
"Very proud. I think every one who manages against Brighton will tell you how hard it is to play against them and it was the same again today in the new stadium.

On James Garner's goal: "He's got the ability to shoot like he did do. It's a good strike. He's a midfield player playing out of position. It's a good goal.

On Ndiaye and Grealish playing together: "We'll see how they play and if their performances are good. Jack has got a couple of assists today and Iliman has a goal. We need to score more goals. One thing I don't want to lose is the spirit on the pitch. We want more flair and quality.

On penalty save: "It was huge save by Jordan because they were the stronger team. If they'd scored, it would have been a tough 20 minutes.

On the atmosphere: "It will grow the more the people get used to the new stadium.

More business to be done? "Yes, definitely."

More flair, quality and signings.

Dibling of course. Hopefully Fofana as well to complete the wings.

Then a DM & a RB (Fort?) would be ideal.
