I assumed he'd mainly be an 8 as we have Grealish, Ndiaye and hopefully Dibling soon for the front 3.

But he's mainly being used as a 10. We've had Alcaraz and Ndiaye who could go there but he's played Tim instead.

Theres no doubt we're getting technical players in. I just dont think theres much of a plan behind it

I'm not saying he isn't but what about that performance made you feel this way?

His touch was superb. He moved the ball really well. He was always available for a pass.

He’s infinitely better than what we’ve had there previously.

Works hard, does a job defensively. The classic defensive number 10 loved by Moyes, Dyche etc.

You’re judging them based on two games when we have multiple players missing. Seems a tad rash.

If we get Dibling and have Grealish and N’Diaye then play KDH next to Gana and that’s pretty decent. Thought he grew into game today after very quiet first half.

Think he'll be an asset once he gets really going. Have to remember the Premier League isn't a farmer's level like the Conference League. I'd give him at least 60 v Mansfield.

Whatever it is he's been tasked with doing, it needs changing. He looks very uncomfortable at the moment.

Looked a lot better when placed deeper in the 2nd half. Too soon to judge.

Seemed more effectual 2nd half today as well. Nothing stand out 1st, but I'm starting to struggle to see how we are trying to set him up or get the game out of him we want. Is the issue Gana and trying to involve him at the cost of another? (I am and always have been a Gana Gueye supporter, no secret) Because if we want that other 6, we've got KDH, Gana, and a new 6 meaning we've got a problem with the 10. If we pack MF we cost the support attacker?

Grew into the game as he dropped deeper and got more involved.
