If we haven't got him up here with his medical complete we are totally incompetent. Absolutely no way should he be left to his own devices over the weekend. Him and his family should be in a box at the ground being wined and dined with the pen forced into his hand to sign the contract.
Bit strong isn’t it, not sure I would sign the contract if I was him if my first experience of the club was akin to abuse haha

Nah I'm sick of these things being dragged out. If (see what i did there) we have agreed everything we should be moving things as quickly as possible to get him signing on the dotted line. We've seen what happened to Eze with spurs and arsenal who's to say the same might not happen here?
It may all be sorted, could be getting other things ready like sorting houses etc so he can move straight up and in to training.

Good one. At the time Moyes was given enormous praise for how he handled Rooney's development by the football world in general. But you know better I guess.

No, but Ferguson knew better than both of us and Moyes. How 'bout we relive his Utd debut at 18 y/o, almost exactly a month after putting in a transfer request. Kid looks overwhelmed by it all eh, I'm glad Moyes saved him for bigger things and I'm sure whisky nose was too. 3 goals, 1 assist at 18, in a CL game. I'm so pleased we saved him for bigger things...brilliant development.

Now, I'd like to concentrate on more important things today than your merry-go-round of denial.

Developed for another club, We were never going to hold onto him we should have made the most of the talent instead of being cautious.

Pen forced into his hand was a bit tongue in cheek i don't actually expect us to do it jeez
No I am aware that’s why I laughed at the end! I think we’ve had so many things go working that we all feel like you do. But I think we’ve have to do things the right way or we risk succumbing to our past!

I’d say shielding him completely from the game until he’s signed might be the best option. Don’t let him even see how bad we are on the pitch.

Are you dense? There is a big difference between a 16 year old and an 18 year old. It's also much easier for a young player to play in a better team.
