Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

If you say we should sign a 6, then we need to sign a 6.

No point listing ones that are very defensively focused (Frendrup) and some that aren't at all and just dictators (Stiller).

Proper weird list.

Especially so when it's clear as day we need a proper number 6 to anchor the midfield and allow the likes of KDH more free reign to get forward

"Open browser on Sofifa/FM database > select CDM > search for high profile players > ignore the fact a position has multiple play styles"

Or something like that.

Each and every one of those players is a DM.

Doesnt particularly matter what their playing style is...the same as it didnt matter what the wingers playing style would be considering we went for Fofana & Dibling who are both incredibly different players.

Some are all rounders, some are destroyers and others are ballers.

Not sure why you're trying to act superior, perhaps counter with a list of your own?

No idea, I can't see us getting a sensible deal for any PL player at this late stage tbh.

The one linked was that Yarmolyuk at Brentford but with their sales and him starting today i doubt he's in contention.

I suspect that we'll be speaking with 5 or 6 agents and negotiating. Perhaps we may even have offers sat with clubs and if they get to TDD may lower the price.

Cant imagine any DMs from the premier league joining though.

Which of those I mentioned couldnt anchor the midfield? I think they all could.

Interesting, because Al's closest acolytes at Toffee TV were discussing budget the other day. John Blain said that as a conservative amount you would assume we have about £150m to spend this summer. And when Baz said he would have thought it would be nearer £200m, John Blain responded with: 'that's why I said £150m conservatively.'

They went through a crude analysis of revenue increases and you can see where they are coming from.
How much have we currently spent?
