Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It’s all semantics tbh. He’s not a sitting six, but he’s a defensive midfielder.
Yep, we had Gana and Garner play a combined 6/8 for a while, very effective in some ways, not so much in others, with Doucs hardly complimentary.

What Moyes will do with centre mids, 6810, or whatever, will be interesting, but he will be intent on not conceding that ground, I'd argue he did exactly the opposite against Leeds, and gained valuable insight. Hope the Friedkins are listening.

I'd also say that at the start of what seems to be a genuine rebuild Moyes should go a 688 combination playing to a foward 3.
Gana ideally the sub for either 6 or 8.

Tim is really going to have to step up, either way the transfers go.

When was the last time Everton played exciting on the ground football?? And let’s have it right mid-table stability looks pretty good as opposed to where we have been. Only then can we progress.

Maybe Moyes isn’t the man for the long term but he is for the short. We aren’t pro
Martinez , first season especially was outstanding, remember the School of Science banners ? That was achieved with Moyes’ side.
Silva had us playing good football .
It is possible .
I grew up watching Cattericks Everton teams , Everton were always associated with classy , intelligent football.

Moyes does not have the ability to go higher than mid table. Really ?
Didn't he get West Ham into Europe 3 times , and won a trophy with them.
How about his last time here. Did he not manage any higher than mid table then either ?
Perhaps I am missing something , or my memory is playing tricks on me.
He did get us 4th and won a European trophy with West Ham.
He kept us in the top half of the top half for years on a shoestring budget.

I agree with you.

Interesting all the stuff going on at Forest is down to Joorabchin and his influence over Marinakis and Edu.

Seems to be case in point, Douglas Luiz and Omari Hutchison both represented by the Iranian….both not wanted by Nuno.

Just shows how Everton were never likely to get either and nor should we have. That parasites had enough out of us

Not in my life time, and then seasons you mention are one offs in a sea of shabite! I want us to succeed as much as anyone but it will be incremental progress.
