Some West Ham fans are still disgruntled that Moyes spent £400m on new players and nearly took them down. A reminder that In Moyes We Trust regarding transfers isn’t a given. The wider transfer committee will need to perform as an entity, not just Moyes.

Of those I don't think Fofana is a dead deal - looks like we are hoping Lyon as the window closes accept the initial offer maybe and the player chooses the premier League move to raise his profile if a cl club doesn't arrive.

Frendrup - that's a very doable deal, the linked clubs all now have that DM position sorted, so act quickly then it's one that could get sorted I hope

That Fofana is a DM who plays for AC Milan and France.

Fun fact, West Ham never fired David Moyes and in each of his final seasons they finished 13th and 9th.

You can write Richy off any Xfer shortlists I think. Spurs would be stupid to get rid. He looks revitalised under Frank. He actually looks fit and probably had an arm round him.

They finished 9th in his last season at West Ham, and they didn't fire him they just didn't give him a new contract.

But this idea that Moyes was bad at West Ham is just plain not true. They got ideas above their station and wanted a "better" style of play so decided to get rid. We know how that's gone for them since and I bet they would take him back in heartbeat with the trajectory of their team at the moment.

Saw a stat last night that shows he's got the best win ratio of any manager at West Ham in the prem era. Damning with faint praise I know, but still.

He was bad at Sunderland though, granted.

13th spot in his first interim spell to save them, 14th place and Euro trophy in 22/23, next season finished 9th, highest win % of any West Ham manager ever.

I don't think we'd complain about the same outlay at Everton to get that.

Not sure on the other frenchies but Varela looks good on the ball, perhaps not great in the tackle?

Varela is probably the least sexy signing of the bunch. His ball winning got a lot better last year though.

Cisse is a DM yeah. Earlier in the summer the word was we wanted a 6 and an 8 but it sounds like we've given up on an 8 now sadly

Completely different scenario. One was using us to get a better contract at his current club, one will 100% sign for Everton next week.

Unless a club matches our offer and then it’s up to the player

Gutted Leeds are getting Bakwa. The lad is a serious, serious talent. Delighted with Dibling, but I wish there was a way we could get this lad too. Will be like Diarra at Sunderland, one we don't want to end up at a club that is worse than us.

….said it’s the first full pre-season he’s had for a while. He’s looking in fine form, terrific assist for Spurs’ 1st goal at City.
