Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

A really quite old one given he relied on his acceleration when playing off the shoulder, especially given his oft proclaimed diet of skittles vodka. Can’t imagine that’s left much in the tank.

Plus he’d likely ask for a massive bag of cash. Wouldn’t go for it myself, although even a year or two ago I would have thought he’d be a decent option
But if given the option of beto v vardy in the squad right now I'd take vardy......betos not up to it and never will be, plus even less so now with the profile of player in behind him, he'll probably stay 2 more years stinking up the place taking up valuable gametime , I'd rather a 20 min a game option of vardy for 1 season.....that said both are bad options, I just think beto is awful, niasse category

Much more comfortable with the Dibling deal seemingly done. Happy to fill the remaining three spots of need - RB, DM and a striker - with experienced loans.

Look to get loans for Armstrong and Chermiti, see if anyone nudges offers in for McNeil or Patterson and be awake to any late and cheap opportunities at the back and we’ll be okay.

Oof, I don’t rate Beto, but Niasse bad? Not sure about that. Definitely think that an upgrade to start while we bring Barry through would be ideal. I don’t personally think Varsy is that man, but to be fair he’s got one hell of a record.

Dunno that he’s got the legs to do what we need him to do though, especially for the the premium I imagine we’d have to pay to find out.

One signing I’m very pleased we missed out on… Potter!

The guys an absolute disaster.
Looks like his ‘success’ at Brighton was either a fluke or engineered by someone else who was at the club at the time.

Good news about Dibling though.
2-3 more signings would be great.

This. But also Soucek and JWP in the pivot might be the worst midfield pairing in the entire prem. They were absolutely gutted today

I’ll admit I’ve been giving the new transfer committee some grief, but it was never aimed at Fredkin's as I think they’ve been excellent at every level so far. Credit where it’s due, going from Ndiaye, Doucoure, McNeil/Harrison/Lindstrom to Ndiaye, Grealish, Dibling is night and day. Honestly, I think we’ve got ourselves a great attacking threat. A few more signings and it could completely change this team.

This is probs unrealistic considering the work that already needs doing but if a £20m+ bid came in for Beto this week I’d be selling him and trying for an upgrade. This is mainly due to his performance vs. Leeds but it was just so bad, like properly detrimental to our overall play.
