It’s a shambles, has been for years but the constant same posters moaning non-stop, day after day, week after week, even outside of the window are an absolute wimp-fest

Yeah I'm not saying I'm happy with our business at all. But the over reaction in here is more over the top than usual this window. Anyway, fingers crossed!

I think 'Europe' is just a lazy way of saying Champions League and, to a lesser extent, Europa. I think there's some merit to the argument that if two clubs on a similar level are after the same player then 'European' football may give one of them the edge, even if only because it could put them in a bigger shop-window for the future.

That's what i'm saying really. There's nothing new or strange about us not being able to attract players who are also wanted by the very biggest clubs, that's just the way it works and isn't an excuse for not bringing players in - the same thing has always applied and applies to every other club in the world. Nobody expects the recruitment team to convince players they'd be better off coming here than going to PSG, but if they can't convince them they'd be better off coming here than Forest for example then that's a failing on their part, as is failing to understand our place in the market and plan accordingly.

I think Barry and Aznou need until Dec because thats when games come thick and fast. You'd expect to see 'something' from the foreign players by then, even if they dont adapt fully for a season.

But what you've read smells of someones tongue being inside David Moyes.

He cant do any wrong apparently...despite throwing our first game of the season and wasting a lot of money this window.

We definitely need some players who can make an impact now, particularly on our right side. Whilst I feel sorry for Moyes to some degree, the transfer committee idea is clearly a bad one, he hasn't helped himself, however, with some of his public comments. His comments today, for example, that we've moved on to players who "can do a job for us" after we've failed to attract our primary targets sends a dreadful message to prospective signings and their agents. The whole thing is a mess and nobody is coming out of it with any distinction, in my opinion.

If your targets aren’t interested or want Europe then move on to another target, you surely should have a shortlist/longlist of suitable players per positions ffs, or have we got zero idea of what the feck we are doing…..

Yeah, it's fine if its in house but telling the world and more importantly our fans that we're not very special and nobody any good wants to play for our team in a season of our 'new era' is just so miserable.
