It's really his injury record that worries me, you will be paying a lot of wages for it.

A certain type of player does have aspirations to play in Europe, that was supposedly Delap's reasoning to sign for Chelsea I do get all the players comment does feel outlandish and yes you have man united pulling in players unfortunately they have more cultural cache due to more recent success just over a decade, and we seem to have money but not stupid amounts of money which seems key in bringing in players when you're not in Europe like Guimeres and Newcastle

I think its the players that Moyes wants specifically that we're having this issue with. He spoke about bringing in 'elite players' supposedly said no to signing Fellows and a few others in Jan as he didn't think they were good enough.

The whole list of targets is likely to be a wide range of profile's/abilities, my reading of this is that Moyes is insisting on the more ambitious targets and we're being knocked back. End of the day if we're trying to go up a level this is realistically going to be an issue much more than it has previously.

Look at the fofana situation we supposedly have a deal agreed with Lyon but he's holding out for a Champions League club what's the strategy to persuade him in coming here?

As I've said a few times, that's just a completely different thing. The suggestion is that Fofana has been led to believe there are serious big hitters interested in him and so he's willing to wait for them. That's not a new thing or something that's in any way specific to Everton, there are levels to these things that we're all fully aware of, players would rather play for the top 6, the big Spanish clubs, Bayern, PSG etc than play for us. That's obvious. Fofana isn't waiting to go to Palace, Celta Vigo, Bologna etc because they're in Europe, that's the point.
