Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

If people think Dibbling is the answer, he isn’t. He’s exactly what Barry is, not ready.

He’s not what we need right now and this isn’t football manager.

Way too raw like Barry. Squads so under cooked and imbalanced we can’t afford to nurture talent.

Whether you like it or not we have a manager who will be under pressure this season; due to the lack of squad calibre and most notably squad depth.

He isn’t playing 19 year old potentials. They will come from the bench when and only when he’s happy to do so.

What world do you live in where we have been hamstrung by FFP for the last several years that going out and spending 50m on an unproven (albeit potentially high level) 19 year old seems a wise move.

Everyone assuming he turns out world class? What happens if he doesn’t. 50m down the…

Transfers need to be a lot smarter. Would not surprise me at all to see Barry out on loan next season.

I don't think i've ever heard the 'they all want to play in Europe' argument before this summer but people now just seem to to repeat it ad infinitum as if it's an obvious fact, it's quite weird.
A certain type of player does have aspirations to play in Europe, that was supposedly Delap's reasoning to sign for Chelsea I do get all the players comment does feel outlandish and yes you have man united pulling in players unfortunately they have more cultural cache due to more recent success just over a decade, and we seem to have money but not stupid amounts of money which seems key in bringing in players when you're not in Europe like Guimeres and Newcastle

So we just need someone who is immediately PL quality, whose available, who we can afford and is willing to come here?

If only it was that easy.

I feel sorry for all the lads and lasses who've been scouring the net for every rumour and hoping for the best on transfers.

That's a shattering blow from Moyes there today.

Can’t really believe he said they tried for top players but couldn’t get them so would be coming down a level for lads who could do a job to keep us steady in the prem.

I like Moyes but for gods sake someone get him some media training. People would absolutely blow an artery on here if Dyche said the opposition were a good outfit but Moyes is out there telling potential recruits that they’re on a lower tier to what he wants?

What is the actual point of Chermiti , Seems to have been here ages but we never see him for long enough to form an opinion of him.
Would like to see him start against Mansfield but i doubt it.

According to Transfermarket he's worth 8 mil

….he’s ‘one for the future’ Can’t see any club paying that type of monies for him but you never know.

Throwing 50m at unproven 19 year olds, is easy.

The transfer team are paid to identify players. They don’t appear to be identify the right type of players for the position of the club right now.

If we had a strong first 11, and decent bench options, that’s when you start buying high level talent.

Not when we can’t put a decent side out with no options from the bench.
