Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Dave we all know you are on the wind up
Pick another topic or go to the newbies thread where no one knows you and wind them up your efforts are wasted here
Are you looking forward to seeing Everton play their first competitive game in the stadium you swore blind hundreds of times that the Carpetbagger would never build
I’ve been digging deep in the vaults for Sunday

I'm reacting to the Romano tweet like everyone.

Morning all.

Nothing new or interesting or reliable but here it is anyway. Have a good Friday.

Saints boss Will Still admitted that he is not sure what Tyler Dibling’s future holds amid links with Tottenham and Crystal Palace. He said: “I don’t. I have no idea. You’d have to ask Palace, Arsenal or Tottenham. “I read all this stuff at the same moment you guys do, and I saw Sky Sports News at eight o’clock this morning with breaking news.”

However, a domino effect could be paving the way for Dibling’s move to Merseyside. Southampton have been linked with a move for Middlesbrough’s Finn Azaz. Everton had been linked with a move for the 24-year-old earlier in the summer, but chose to explore other targets. According to The Northern Echo, the Saints have had an offer rejected, but continue to engage in talks.

Taking to social media, Fabrizio Romano claimed Everton have knocked back approaches from other Premier League sides for Iliman Ndiaye this summer. Earlier in the window, Romano suggested Ndiaye had interest from Inter Milan. Now, he has suggested other sides have shown an interest. ‘Everton have rejected all approaches for Iliman Ndiaye from Serie A and Premier League,’ he said. ‘Ndiaye, seen as crucial part of the project at the club.’

According to Graeme Bailey, Everton have attempted to address other things before making a move for Tom Fellows. Bailey said: “I don’t think that Everton’s pursuit of Tyler Dibling impacts the Tom Fellows situation, necessarily, but I do think that what has happened for Fellows is that there are so many other things that Everton need to do. I just think he’s being put a little bit on the back burner. “I still wouldn’t rule Fellows out of that Everton move, especially by the end of the window, but it’s a little bit less likely than it was previously.

“Just simply because they’re doing other things. I think this is a lot like the Hayden Hackney situation, where West Brom are fearful they’ll lose their man by the end of the window and are braced for that.”

According to L’Equipe, Arsenal have joined the race for Malick Fofana, with Everton also part of the run, with Lyon desperate to make a big sale to balance their finances. In recent days, Fofana has admitted he could leave Lyon before the deadline in just one week’s time. According to Le Progres, Bayern Munich will not be signing Fofana after their latest offer was very quickly rejected. It is claimed that Bayern have no intention of paying €40m for the winger this summer. So, they can be considered out of the race.

English Premier League Everton are planning to offer Getafe €30 million for Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche, Soccernet.ng reports. Uche has been attracting a lot of attention from many clubs across the top five European leagues. This comes after a string of impressive performances at Getafe. The 22-year-old midfielder joined the club from third-tier Ceuta last summer, and he quickly rose to become Getafe's best player, contributing four goals and six assists in 33 league games.

Everton will reportedly compete with Newcastle United and West Ham United to sign 30-year-old versatile Dutch defender Nathan Ake from Manchester City this summer. According to a report by TEAMtalk, Nathan Ake is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are scouring the market for a centre-back this summer and have held exploratory talks to sign the versatile Manchester City defender. Meanwhile, Newcastle United and West Ham United are also keen on signing the Dutch centre-back in the summer transfer window.

Even if they managed to turn it round now by deadline day, it will be more by accident than design.

The summer will finish with some bad impressions and general mistrust.

Not at all where I thought how things would look.
Not at all.

It all depends on what happens in the remaining few days.

It can still be a brilliant transfer window or just as likely can continue to be a frustrating one right to the end... it just depends on what business is done between now and the close of the window.

We are aiming for improvement this season and I think when fully fit our team is better than last season with the addition of Barry, KDH and Jack Grealish. If we can add one or two more starters to the team then it will have been a great window, we also need a player or two as cover just for squad depth. Branthwaite signing a new contract is of course a plus as well.

Arsenal just signing ALL the players. Not envious in the slightest. Honest. I dont think they'll sign Fofana if they sign Eze by the way.

@davek especially you. This was your opinion on Romano yesterday

Pretty soon Joyce, Romano, King, Myers the Echo hacks will be embarking on the final push to declare the club's interest in a clutch of targets before the window slams shut with hard luck stories.

No later than Monday next week, I'd guess.

Same club different owners.

If you're going to agitate, you'd have been better off focusing on it being a plant to appease Everton fans when we keep him.

Another day gone and dave is still dithering while forest identify and sign, we are so far behind its shame, I feel for Grealish, this isn't what he was sold surely.
