Annoyed at Luiz going to forest, one seasons qualification for Europe after nearly going down shouldn't maoe them more attractive than us

If anyone had a 'top negotiator' it's whoever is pulling the strings at Forest. They've done a ridiculous amount of deals the past few seasons.

The very first thing we should have done this summer was get a right winger and right back. That would have instantly made us a half decent team. THEN,, think about another striker, centre mid etc.

If all we did this season was address both the fullback positions with decent attacking fullbacks, we would be a significantly better team. Maybe the value isn't there. Who knows. My point is we have players that can fill all of the other positions (including RW if we had a quality RB to pair there!). So okay. Fill the right wing with a quality right wing to allow O'Brien to focus on what he does well in crossing. No! Let's prioritize getting an understudy striker and a central midfielder that isn't a big upgrade over James Garner. Well shieeeet. I wonder why we continue to flounder. This happens way too frequently.

Our signings are fine. The players that we didn't sign that we really needed to sign are sorely missed.

You can't go into a season with one striker. It's asking for relegation. We have other players that do a job at RB, LB and RW and we can change formation if needed. Having a back -up striker was much more important than having a better first XI

Barry is a completely unproven striker in this league. You can sign a better striker in FA if that is the case. You would likely have just as much success sticking Ndiaye in there or a Demarai Gray. Signing a 30 mil striker based on potential when there are other holes to fill is the type of stunt that kills you. Most strikers don't make it.
