What are they doing for the club etc etc. Not much aside from driving massive increases in commercial revenue which will hopefully increase spending and player trading in the medium to long term. Nice to actually have business people in charge. Love waking up knowing we aren’t being wound up any time soon. Get that recruitment team fired though.

The proof of the pudding's in the eating.

Look at the mess this squad's in.

A 5 year old child could see the massive gaps in the first 11 never mind the squad.

They’ve chosen to not address these gaps for whatever reason. Could be funds, too ambitious, or just plain clueless.

We are throwing away games and valuable points.

We’ve had since jan since they came in to sort this mess out.

The dibling transfer has taken 1 month and we haven’t landed it. Prob end up at spurs.

Poor poor poor.

I think we will end up signing him and a couple of loan deals. Whoever we bring in have to be better than what we have, starters , not squad filler.

What's the end game for TFG? Sort debts out, sign commercial deals to boost revenue, ensure we stay in the league and sell club for profit in a few years?. I feel performances on the pitch are not a priority for TFG and this window has shown it.
For me I think that depends. If the recruitment team (who are very much the responsible party here) are allowed to go for more windows with this kind of activity, then you’re probably right. If the owners show that they are not happy with this by firing at least one of them then I think they’re here for a longer time than that.

They seem real bog standard owners. They are not going to ruin the club but anyone thinking they have the vision/finances to shoot us anywhere near the Champions league is dreaming I’m afraid.

And I don’t care what anyone says - the optics of turning up at Roma, but never at Everton, aren’t good at all.

Compare them to the Forest owner: yes he’s a bit of a mentalist but he clearly wants the club to succeed.
He’s visible, backs them financially and ferociously defends them in public.

TFG like to stay in the background and delegate to ‘best in class’ operators which is fine but you live and die by the quality of the management team.
Unfortunately the summer transfer window so far has been scattergun at best and we can’t get deals over the line.
Yes the market is challenging but the underlying pool of players is huge and these people are paid a lot of money to deliver. It’s their job!

Financially we're a lot more stable than this time last year. On the pitch we're in a similar situation. I'm confident the club won't go bankrupt which was a genuine possibility, but past that I don't see any signs of progress, as they seem to have little idea of how to run a football club on the pitch.
