Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

That bellend Kinnear is going to look like an absolute dick after the window shuts and he's having to put our a statement to state the club is frustrated not to have been more successful in the market but still had full faith in the manager and players.

The club has very publicly offered almost £40m for Dibling, so there can be absolutely no excuses for it not to be spent to fix our problematic right hand side should we fail to get him in.
Last i saw was Southampton wanted 45 mil , who knows , my head is scrambled with reading all the updates on it ..i actually fell asleep last night counting hundreds of Diblings jumping over a fence

They really need to secure his services now because if it does fall through, any other RW they go after clubs will reevaluate their market value based on what we were prepared to pay an untested/inexperienced 19 year old. Not sure we are going to get a lot of value so may just have to bite the bullet.

He'll leave it to Moyes. He will be busy putting out a press release for a partnership for the official provider of toilet paper for Hill Dickinson stadium.

Why what happened?

He reported that we were after ake then that giulia lady reported that we weren't after him at all.

just doesnt look good for the fella after what moyes said last week is all.

Although the piv was on toffeetv before and he said that most scouting teams make enquiries up to 12-15 players a week. Thought its not even to do with transfers most of the time its just updating records and such.

So thats might be where alot of transfer rumours come from

Sadly the next move is apathy. Ive been a fan for 50 years. Seen the best, survived the bad times. After watching the first half against Leeds I turned it off because I didnt need to hear the pundits say how Leeds looked like Barca and we were crap. Depite owning about 6 tvs I decided not to watch the second half because I knew the outcome...frikking sad and demoralized week one. And yes, I realize that reflects more on me than Everton but still true story. Btw, you actually in WA?
I love football and watch a lot of the Championship and enough of the prem but can barely watch Everton as it so hard to stay impartial and it seems like every week is a kick in the teeth. I have seen the great teams of the 70s and 80s as a season ticket holder so I feel your pain. Everton growing up was part of the family it united us all and gave us pride now its like having a family member on skid row doing drugs that you can't help but love but find it incredibly painful to watch.i hope i am not being to dramatic but it feels mentally and emotionally painful to watch them.

So looking like nothing for Sundays game.

Essentially all about deadline day now?!

Yes it is. I started to wean off the need for "updates" even before Grealish was signed so I'm absolutely not expecting anything until deadline day. Anything that might materialise is an unexpected boost/further disappointment depending on who it is.

I was surprised they did Grealish this "early" even.

Kinnears interview in the US was telling us this would be the case more or less.

New owners or not, new investment, and new stadium, we still firmly find ourselves at the bottom of the food chain, desperately waiting to suck and steal on deadline day scraps, for players to join us as a last resort and because nobody that we would seek to compete with will have them.

That's being lucky. The unlucky version is doing a deal sheet for the next Armando Broja "just because."

The thing is i dont think we'd be to bad if we'd gone all out as priority on the fullbacks. Look we've fallen off a cliff a bit in the last few years. We're not in Europe so we're hardly in for cafu level right backs. But to do so little business in this crucial area is a major fail. I honestly dont think theres another club in this league that would start a season without an orthodox fullback for selection on both sides of the pitch.
Yeah. When fully fit the defensive unit is as good as any, I think. Just a shame to have so many injuries and not to have filled the squad after letting so many leave.
